Living Shadows
Masters Study area and ongoing project.
My work is currently engaged in exploring the impact of Ash Die Back on our native woodlands and environment. Utilising foraged materials I am embedding them within an Artist Book. This book will operate as a 'threshold concept', a seed of an idea captured within, dormant until nurtured into life.
Charcoal, stains and ink have been prepared using fallen ash trees and their fungi. These pigments will narrate the project within the Artist Book, sowing a seed of an idea, a planted response of new life of wild flowers, sown within the shadows of the disappearing ash.
